1. Disconnect button
Just a shortcut for xsi's polygon/edge disconnect operation.
Click with polygons/edges selected.
2. makeIslands button
First use the disconnect button to cut all of your islands.
Then click this button to create point cluster which contain
all the points of each island. These clusters can then be used
for the pelt button.
3. pelt button
After you created the island clusters with the makeIslands button,
click this button with
a) the object selected (pelts all islands cluster). For this action
please do not rename the island clusters.
b) an island cluster selected (pelts only the selected cluster)
The pelting only takes place on frame change, so I recommend
you set the outframe to 10000 and keep playing. On the first frame,
all pelted deformations are undone, so be careful with resetting the
timeline. After you are done with pelting, please freeze the mesh.
4. symmUVs button
After everything is pelted and you copied the UVs to the original
mesh (manually) you can use this tool to symmetrize your UVs.
The direction for the process is along the X axis. If your mesh
is setup in a different direction, you'll have to temporarily
rotate it (its center). Object transforms are not used.
Select a projection and click the button!
