Para los que todavía no se han enterado, Area de Autodesk; ya está actualizada, ya se integró el foro antiguo de Softimage XSI(le tenía cariño al nombre ).

Los usernames y passwords siguen siendo los mismos,; aunque tuve problemas con el pass, me tocó crear otro.
Será muy difícil acostumbrarse al nuevo 'foro'.  Bueno que les parece?

Se veía venir, hay muchos comentarios negativos al respecto pero es algo que tenía que suceder tarde o temprano. Como alternativa se creó www.si-community.com que es bastante más usable que los foros del AREA, para gustos los colores.


Por cierto, la lista oficial está MUY bien y goza de excelente salud, si se busca una lectura interesante no hay mejor sitio

Está bien que todos se encuentren en una misma casa, pero para un foro como el que existía antes, el cambio es abismal, además había mucho dentro de ese foro, habían threads demasiado interesantes; me pregunto si toda esa información con el tiempo la podremos ver en el nuevo de Area, porque si se perdió el trabajo de muchos así de fácil a consecuencia de esto pues...

Lo que es fatal es la navegacion. La interfaz es penosa.

No soy Cesar, pero se que se refiere al legendario mailing list oficial.

Para registrarte, envia un email a:
softimage-request@listproc.autodesk.com
con la linea de asunto: subscribe
y responde al email de confirmacion que recibiras.

Para deregistrarte,  haz lo mismo pero con el asunto "unsubscribe".

MUY RECOMENDABLE usar Gmail, porque el threading hace que actue casi como un foro, con hilos de las conversaciones. Ah, y en general solo hablan Ingles.

Una vez registrado, pregunta lo que quieras con un email formal en Ingles a:
softimage@listproc.autodesk.com

Al responder a la gente, hazlo a la misma direccion. (Gmail te hara esto automaticamente.)

No escribas en Espaniol, solo es en Ingles, y ante todo, se amable. Ah, y no preguntes cosas demasiado basicas que una ojeada del manual te las responderia; les molestara.

Wow! es cierto Alanf, lo que pasa es que me parece haber visto hace unos días los foros de discusión, y vi pocos topics, los han estado subiendo con el pasar de las horas tal ves..  

Pero tienen una organización que deja mucho que desear...  

Edito: aun así sigo sin encontrar el post de la animación "warhead"....

Sobre la migración de contenidos:

Hey Everyone. I'm sorry I haven't responded here earlier but as you might imagine things have been busy on my side. I just wanted to let you know what has been going on. First the original plan was the migration would take one day total. We were undone by an unforeseen circumstance. Some of you may have noticed that hackers brought down the old softimage community site a few times. Well it seems the last time they did this they wrote all sorts of corrupting data throughout the database. When we took that data and dumped it into AREA it killed everything. We ended up spending days just cleaning out the forum portion of the database to make it work. we had people going through every single post, it was not pretty.

Going through that ate up a lionshare of our final testing time with this data and has effected the overall quality of the softimage integration. Fear not we will get everything cleaned up. As someone earlier mentioned, many of the earlier problems were fixed the first day. The rest will come as well.

I hope that makes things a little clearer. Over the next couple days everything will stabilize and we can move on to creating and talking about great content.

As an aside, I also noticed a comment in this thread about censorship on the AREA and I take offense to that. I have never allowed any form of censorship on the AREA. Other then myself none of the moderators are even Autodesk employees. They are volunteers who have no interest in censoring the community. The only things we remove are posts that aid in piracy or truely rude, angry and unproductive posts, basically common sense stuff. I think everyone can agree to those. even in those cases we try to communicate the removal to the author. You just have to look through some of the threads and see some truely unflattering comments aimed at autodesk to see we don't practice censorship.
