Tema: XSI en ordenaor portatil.

Hola, alguien de vosotros utiliza XSi en un portatil?
Por cuestiones de trabajo tengo que comprarme un portatil para usar XSI, tenía pensado algo normal, no un descabellado Sony Vaiio de 3000€, algo así como un P IV 3,6 Ghzm 1 giga de Ram, 128 Mb de tarjeta gráfica.. los renders los tiraría en otros Pc's, y no trabajaría con fluídos, partículas... así que me serviría un portatil como el que he dicho.
Pregunta; los portátiles [al menos los nuevos] no tienen puerto com, con un adaptador USB a puerto COM funciona bien la licencia? o da algún problema..?
Si alguno usa portátiles que me responda porfavor!

Yo tengo uno, pero esta un poco cascado ya, es un Dell Precision M50, tiene una Quado 700 y un P4M 2000, tambien quiero cambiar de portatil y lo mas dificil es encontrar un portatil con pantalla de mas de 1280x800 y que tenga una nVidia, si alguien puede confirmar que las Ati funcionan correctamente con XSI, la cosa se pone mas sencilla.

Pide a Softimage que te manden un dongle USB, mientras tanto un conversor te funcionara perfectamente.

Lo de la pantalla con la proxima version de XSI se pone mas sencillo, los menus son flotantes y no hace tanta falta la resolucion que comentaba antes.

no tengo comparaticas de penitum4 - centrino, pero yo compraba centrino en principio.
tengo un p4 2'4 y es una chimenea, y encima no tiene grafica dedicada asique haces algo de 3d con mas problemas que otra cosa y se va a 78º y se apaga.
Y conozco más gente que le pasa con p4 en portatil, no puedes jugar ni 3d.

es lo que tiene comrpar un portatil sin tener ni zorra como me paso a mi. despues de pagar la hipoteca, me kedan 25 años lo mismo me compro uno bueno.

un compi se acaba de comprar un fujitsu de 17 " 1440 x 900 con 2 hd 80gb (en raid si quieres), una nvidia Go 6800 PCI Express 256, centrino 1.87 Ghz, 2048 RAM (DDR2 533Mhz)

1700 € sin iva
a mi me parece un ordenador de puta madre a un buen precio.

manolo, yo en el sobremesa tengo una ati normalita de 128 Mb y de momento bien con XSI [tampoco hago cosas que se salgan mucho de lo normal] y en mi anterior portatil también tenía una ATI de 128 Mb y llegaba bien a la resolución que necesita Softimage, aunque nunca probé XSI en aquel portatil, lo vendí a los 15 días de comprarlo pa pillar un ibook :d
Bueno entonces lo dicho, si me va a funcionar bien la licencia con un adaptador USB a COM me lo pillo, luego ya pediré el dongle USB a Softimage. Si puedo esta tarde después del curro me acerco a por él. Ya os comentaré..

Ya he visto el portatil de fujitsu, esta muy bien, pena de pantalla, deberia de ser como minimo de 1600x1050, y si pesase menos seria el ordenador perfecto, los dos discos duros me parecen un poco chorrada, pero bueno, quizas un mirror en tiempo real no estaria mal.

El mio pesa 4 kilos, y me paso el dia de aqui para alla, asi que otros 4 kilos como que, no.

para que fuese para mi el ordenador perfecto le añadiria alguna cosa más a parte del peso, 4 kilos si.
hay algun asus, por ejemplo, que la unidad dvd es intercambiable por una segunda bateria, seria genial poder estar 6 horas sin enchufarse, yo que viajo en tren alguna vez, y me tiro unas 7 horas podria pasar de las mierdas de pelis que ponen xDD
realmente usas la grabadora muy pocas veces.
puede sonar algo absurdo querer autonomia grande si te compras uno de 17" pero manias de uno xDD

tb le falta en comparacion con otros 17", el teclado numérico.

lo de los discos, a mi me da igual, aunque hay gente que le gusta tener su copia de seguridad asique raid.

lo de la pantalla tb, aunque creo que tienen la opcion de una pantalla de más resolucion, subirá el precio pero tienes la opción

Creo que me he enamorado, solo le falta tener una nVidia, pero si las Ati van bien el Samsung X50 es ideal.
